Snowmobile parts

In: .| seasons

26 Sep 2008

Autumn has officially begun and we can feel the nice cooling of the temperature outside. In several weeks there would be snow in some part of the country. I think it is a good time now to inspect our equipments and make sure everything works okay so that when they are needed, they are readily available. You may need to check the snowmobile parts to be sure they are still functional, for it not, you still have a lot of time for replacement which you can order from auto and equipment stores such as jazz motor sports. I am kind of ‘wow’ when I found out that shipping is just $5 on all orders! So wrench now, ride later.

I have a riddle: “In winter it is an insect; in summer it is a mushroom.”
Have you heard such a thing? Well, it’s not really a riddle for the thing indeed exist. They are called Dong Chong Xia Cao in Chinese or Cordyceps. It is usually cooked with Ba gua soup. It is kind of sad when we think of the insect, isn’t it? It is a caterpillar-like insect, in fact it is called ‘vegetable caterpillar’ after a fungi replaces the worm cells. Dong Chong means “in winter it is an insect; Xia Cao means “in summer it is a mushroom”. But this mushroom is not ordinary vegetable, as if it is not already. It is used for strengthening the…

I have been thinking about a lot of things lately, just these past few weeks, to tone. I really want to resume my belly dance lessons, hopefully on one of these days, I hope soon. And aside from that, I have collected different yoga exercises from India. Do you also feel the same about getting or learning something? Because of my improper physical training and discipline, I almost broke a male classmate’s neck when I tried to kick him during our ‘fun time’. He was one of our high school teachers’ sons and I got scared in that moment for had he moved half an inch nearer or I kicked that much farther, we would surely be in trouble. So…

My friend wanted to come to our house for us to work-out together. Isn’t that more enjoyable than working out alone? Of course in the gym we will have other people, and it is great to develop friendship there because not only we will have profound relationships, but the teammate motivation will drive us to find personal strength at the same time, accomplishing our fitness workout goals together. I am thinking of buying a DVD exercise program to make our workouts more enjoyable and less boring. I have a video below showing the fun we would have, working out together. There are more fun ways to workout these days, and they’re getting better.

Hubby purchased for me some jewelry. Yeah he was shopping again for me this time. We have been excited for them to come and for me to try them on, and after almost two months of waiting, they sent me a belly button ring for my earrings. Are you into body jewelry? I have no belly piercing, but my belly dance teacher has. It looked good on her. They are made of high quality brilliant diamonds. She has also has nose studs that she purchased at alluring body jewelry shop. They have exquisite collection of diamond and gold body jewelry that are crafted in the USA.

Growing tomatoes is easy but can also be tricky, so it is good to know the best way to plant it from experienced growers. I found a video online from Dave’s garden that has a lot of tips for all of us about growing tomatoes. “Once you tasted the home grown tomatoes, you will never go back again”.

Baby clothes shopping

In: .| shopping

21 Sep 2008

My in-laws who are expecting their first baby in few months are very excited now. Of course. If it was me who is expecting, I would be as happy as them in the matter, even more, and I am so excited for the expectant mother. Roxanne told me that she made quilts, curtains and stuff to put in the baby’s room, as well as the things for the baby like funky baby clothes and unique and handcrafted baby gifts. I may also start shopping for baby clothes now as my gift to them. It is so fun and exciting for this opportunity to have a baby. Let’s pamper it, dressing the essence of childhood in polka dot patch.

There are many varieties of rice, and one way of cooking it is by boiling or steaming. Do you peek when steaming rice? We are supposed to let the cooked rice steam for about 15 minutes or so before opening the lid to not to let the steam out and lower the temperature during cooking. But right after it is cooked, you can peek a little (naughty) and let it steam your face for few seconds, it is good for the skin, makes face smooth and without pimples, and let the facial skin ‘breathe’, unless it is so hot you can’t breath and burn yourself.

We all love shopping, from time to time, if not always, don’t we ladies? For me our shopping is not complete until there are nice pair of shoes or more. It seems shopping for shoes makes us feel pampered the most, of course if it is a nice pair. I like Dansko footwear because they are very comfortable and perfect for casual wear. The Dansko Shoes, Clogs & Sandals are designed to support our feet best and is also shock absorbent. I like them because they would last long for they are crafted from high quality materials. And those are what we should look for in shopping for shoes. Savings in the long run.
