25 May 2009This is one of my favorite pictures I shot a week ago. It is so beautiful, full and colorful, and fragrant, even when it is withering. Perhaps it is because of it that the individual petals are showing each beauty it fills my heart even just by looking at the whole flower.
Photography is one of my passions. Most of the time, I have my digital camera with me wherever I go. I want to be sure that I do not miss the great things that capture my attention. I can take pictures as much I want since I have a 4gb micro sd on my camera. I do not have to worry that I may out of space and miss the important one that I need to take a shot.

14 Feb 2009I spotted this amazing arranged pineapple skin. Isn’t this great! I love pineapple. It tastes so delicious.
The fruit of a pineapple are arranged in two interlocking spirals, eight spirals in one direction, thirteen in the other; each being a Fibonacci number(In mathematics, the Fibonacci numbers are a sequence of numbers named after Leonardo of Pisa, known as Fibonacci). Pineapple contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelain, which breaks down protein. Pineapple juice can thus be used as a marinade and tenderizer for meat. The enzymes in pineapples can interfere with the preparation of some foods, such as jelly or other gelatin-based desserts. It has a good fiber in it so it helps to have a regular bowel movement.

A blue butterfly that was ‘courting’ my pink roses. This was taken more than a year ago. I wonder where is this beautiful winged creature now.

16 Jul 2008I was going up the hill from my garden when I noticed the land turtle. I was momentarily shocked for it was unexpected. It is the second turtle I saw here, and maybe, might be the same one, anyway. It is so cute and pretty site there on the ground.
When I examined it closely, I found out that it was over a small hole but when I observed it for several minutes after being immobile because it noticed me at first, the turtle was actually digging a hole in the ground. I watched the way it moved. Something struck me. As it was there with just its feet digging back and forth and getting a just a fraction of a…

25 Jun 2008This is one of my friend’s very healthy backyard garden. It is such her joy and pride and the food we cooked that day straight from her garden was just so tasty and delicious, a homegrown flavor. If you look closely, she is behind one of the plants.
I usually eat cucumbers fresh, peeled and dipped with some vinegar and soy sauce, mouth watering, yummy, but you could actually cook it too. Just like with eggplants, you can dip largely sliced cucumber into breadcrumbs and beaten eggs and fry. Give it a try and tell me if you like it. Next time I will share some other recipes where cucumbers are cooked differently.
