Missing them

They are always on my mind, but this day my mind is occupied to them; I really miss my sisters who are away from us, they leaving abroad to work and help the family. They are a hero. This maybe sound corny but truly I wish they are with us now especially this time that they encounters problems. Mama and Papa miss them more. I just miss my old life, my single life, the time when we all in our room, laughing and teasing each other. If I could just back time, will spend more time with them while they are still with us. But life must go on, waiting for that great reunion maybe next year.

I am so glad that I bought a digital camera before I went to another country. Canon camera is one of the best camera. It will take a great quality photos. Now I am not the only one who enjoyed the pictures I took but my family and friends as well. It is really fun to take pictures. It is also a great way to show the place and the people I work with.

I cannot believe that I am already here so so so far away. I feel like I am just dropped from the plane to the jungle or just like I walk inside the dark room where I know nothing or I see nothing. I just need to find and figure things out. I am so thankful that God gave me these team of people who where very supportive that give me candles to lighten up the room so I can see and settle myself. I am also thankful that somehow He allowed me to be flexible to things. It needs a lot of effort to be able to mingle and socialize with new people. I need to penetrate their world in order for me be part of their world. It is not easy at times but I have no choice but to stand up on my feet to be part of the circle of friends or family.

I am already 5 days away from home. I miss my family and friends a lot. It is so easy to go with the wave of loneliness but I need to fight for those moments so that I will not dwell with that emotions. It will hinder me from being at home here. I always remember what my friend told me that “no matter where you are even you just stay for 1 day in the place make it your home.” For now, I am somehow feel at home in the place where I stay. it is just kind of hard for now because I do nothing except learning the language. I can not wait to have my travel permit and be at the place where I work.

Away from home

I’ve been through a lot of somewhat stresses for the past 3 months. From the start of my application until I arrive in Sudan. Through it all God is teaching me so many things and those trials made me a better person and I grew in my spiritual life. Although during the whole process there were times that the bouts of unbelief and doubt popped in my mind, but God is still faithful and compassionate with me.

I was glad that my family and friends were there with me at the airport. I had mixed emotions. I was excited to go, but sad to leave and somehow fearful about many things like the immigration and etc. I had so many things going on in my mind and it kept me out from thinking of being away from home. Somehow it helped me cope with the sadness.

How I wish I have a big sister or a big brother. I will never experience that for I am the oldest in the family. My life would have been happier and easier. I have no regrets though. I have no one to confide to of what I am going through aside from God and some close friends. There are things that could not be shared to friends though. That is why I tried to be a good big sis to my siblings. I do things for them as what I want my big sis do to me if ever I have one. It is fun to be a big sis but sometimes the load of care is heavy. I am not perfect but I do the best I think I can. One thing I know for sure that I will never do anything that would hurt or make siblings sad.

For many years, I do not really like chocolates. Sometimes I feel weird because mostly everyone loves chocolates. But now it is really my favourite. I love chocolates!!!!. I do not know exactly how this happened. It started when my sister bought a lot of chocolates. It was all divided to the members of the church, relatives and each members of our family. I had chocolate on hand until it is all consumed. I plan to always have a bar of chocolate with me when I start to have my work.
