Putting others first

I am grateful for today. I am reminded of the verse that says, ” Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being. As Christians, we have responsibility to live in such a way that we do not hurt others. We must deny ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to put to death our natural inclination to be self-centered. As long as we focus on ourselves, we will be oblivious to the needs of others. We should ask God to free us from the selfishness so that our lives are free to bless others. We should also know that by blessing others, they are not the only one who are happy but we also. It is such a joy to help or care for other people.

Good and wild grapes

The reading was from Isaiah 5:4 “What more could have been done to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes. Did it bring forth wild grapes?”

Prophet Isaiah told a story about the man with a vineyard on a fertile hill. He cultivated the ground and done everything so that nothing can hinder the vineyard’s growth. He planted only the best quality vines. He built a tower in the middle of the vineyard so he could watch the wild animals or intruders. He constructed a vine hat so that he would be ready for the ripe grapes., however, the vineyard produced worthless ones.

The story illustrates the relationship between God and His people. God has done everything necessary for us to produce an abundance of spiritual fruit in our lives. He saved us when we were without hope. He gave us His Holy Spirit to produce fruit in our lives (Gal. 5:22-23). He removed our sins so that we are free to serve him. We have the bible in numerous translations. We have access to more Christian books, music, videos, and etc. than ever before. We have teachers and pastors to instruct us and encourage us. Most of all, we have direct access to God through prayer. The question is ” Are we producing the fruits of the spirit in our lives?” After all what the Lord has done for us? or “Are we like the vineyard that produced worthless ones?”

His ways are perfect

There is no place like home. I really thank God for how He show His grace to me in many different ways. I never thought that I can go home even I just worked for only 2 months. Although the flight was very long it was worth it to be home and spend time with my family and eat food that I really missed when I was out of the country. God is really a great God. His ways are perfect. We just need to trust Him in everything in our lives. He will never fail.

Experieng the power of God

The sermon of the pastor yesterday talked about experiencing the power of God. He said that you can not experience God’s power when you will not take a leap of faith and take the risks. During my whole travel I have seen and experienced the many greatness of the power of God in my life that I never would have experienced if I did not take the leap of faith. I cannot hold back my tears from falling when I look back and remember God’s miracles in me. I cannot fathom the way God made everything happened in a very smooth way. Sometimes I do feel guilty. I must confess that sometimes I put God in a box or I doubt His power to do the things in my behalf. I cannot say enough words how to thank Him for everything.

One thing that I realized is to spend quality time with the people you love as much as you can because you cannot do that when you are far away. Regrets is one the worst enemy one can have. So we need to treasure every moment with the people that cross our paths every day.

Prayer is the only weapon we can have to fight for the battle of loneliness and for the battle of life in general. A prayerful christian is a powerful christian. Life without God is lifeless. God brought me here I am sure He has something great in store for me.

I am so thankful for the technologies we have now. The people that we love is just one text away or one click away. Thank you God for it.

Heavy hearted

Today, I feel so sad while I was writing my resignation letter. It is with somewhat of a heavy heart in writing this. This decision was made very difficult because I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the company where I work. Working for this company has been a wonderful experience. I could not ask for a better group of colleagues. I have grown in many ways here. However, it is time for me to move on to another chapter of my life and of my career. It is just sad to leave this place and the people I love because it has been my life for 9 years. I will miss everyone. I will also miss my patients. Actually, I am in ambivalent kind of feeling for the past weeks. I am sad but I am also excited to leave and begin a new chapter in my life. God bless me.

Strectched to the max

I have particular prayers that I am waiting for a long time for His answers. Sometimes I feel like my patience is not only stretched to the max but almost to the verge of losing it. I am reminded today that I should not let my faith depend on a prayers being answered. Instead my faith should be in God and His goodness. Wither He answered yes or no to my requests, even if He does not do it, I will still believe He is good and all things work together for good.

Million miles away

Do you ever feel like God is million miles away and is not listening to you prayers? I do feel like it today. In my low moments like this, I have to read the bible. After reading some verses, it always reminded me that God is not only there, but He is interested in every aspect of my life. In fact, He wrote the bible to tell His limitless, unconditional love and that He longs to share a personal intimate relationship with you and me.

My friendship

My friendship with my best friend is more than I could ever ask for. She is so sweet and very sensitive. We are always there for each other when we are not feeling 100% super beautiful. We make each other laugh when we are down or sad. I am so thankful that God made memories. Memories are like diamonds, they are forever. I am so grateful that my friendship with my best friend means a lot to her and to me. She is a missionary from Canada. There are times that she becomes homesick missing her family and friends. I did my best to take care of her.True friends are always there when we need them.

Practice thanksgiving

The vegetales song “Thankfulness” keeps on popping in my mind today. I am reminded to give thanks to God and people is the easy way to start a joyful day.We should say a prayer of thanks for everyone and everything you come across today. No exceptions! Turn on the light and bless those who discovered electricity. Bless the farmers who grew the food you’re packing in the kid’s lunch. When you get in the car, bless the automotive engineers who invented seat belts. Bless the person in the office elevators who’s talking top volume on her cell phone. . for reminding you what not to do. If we make this a habit, I am sure that we will have delightful days.

Add a little extra

I am just an ordinary person. But I have no worry being one I just add a little extra that makes me extraordinary. A laid back person who wants to do the things in order and on the right time, wants to do my best as I can be, brightens every corner where I am at. I have passion on photography, enjoying capturing anything that captures my eyes and attention. Always amaze of the beauty and wonders of the world. I really marveled how mighty our God is, the creator of all.
