The common activities we did in the PICU are: For the ambubagging patients, checking the ET tube placement through auscultations if it is in place. It is very important to know this because in this way we can know if the patient receives adequate oxygen through proper ambubagging technique. Next, checking the OGT/NGT tube prior feeding to see if the tube is in place. We may know it is in the right place if we can hear air gurgling. Regulating the O2 to its desired liters per minute and refilling of water. We also assisted watchers in establishing feeding. It is our duty to see the oxygen gauge level to ensure patients are receiving enough oxygen especially the level 4 patients.
