Recent estimates say that sixty per cent of women diagnosed with cancer say hair loss is what they fear most about chemotherapy. Though our hair will grow back after time, we naturally don’t want to lose it for it is our natural adornment and covering. But it is also true to the extent, that some women avoid treatment because they don’t want to lose their hair, says Hillary Swank. But given a critical situation, which one should we choose? It must be the one that weighs more and that really matters above all. That is why it is so much comfort for them that there are organizations seeing the need. “Beautiful Lengths” program of Pantene works with the American Cancer Society in providing women in treatment with wigs that are made of real hair. If you are looping off inches of your hair, you can donate them to the program, and know that a woman receiving chemotherapy will benefit it dearly for each strand of your hair counts.
