Last year I went on a spring break trip with some friends to Cancun, Mexico, and had an amazing time. But then I got back to school after and started comparing stories with my other friends, a lot of who went on alternative spring breaks. I didn’t know what those were and found out that they were ones where you volunteer your time. Well, I decided that’s what I wanted to do this year.

There are all kinds of alternative spring break programs that you can sign up for and I’ve done my research on a lot of them. While I was looking through some sites about them, i came across some information about internet and something that asked if your were www.get.wildblue.com/. Well I was pretty sick of my slow internet at my apartment at school, so I actually decided to sign up for one of the internet packages I found with that stuff.

I decided to take me alternative spring break in New Orleans. There’s still a lot of work to do there after Katrina, even though it’s been a few years. I know this is going to be hard work, but I’m really looking forward to it.
