Here are some of biblical reference about herbs, the original medicine of man.
Ahab spake unto Naboth saying “Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it, if it seems good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money”. 1 King 21:29.
I have given you every herb bearing seed… to you it shall be for meat. Gen. 1:29
