No matter what we do sometimes at the end of the day we experience back pain. It may result from bad posture or not using a proper body mechanics. There is an exercise to relieve back pains.
This move relaxes tense muscles all along your spine. Gently arching your back like a cat stretches your neck and spine, and lowering it toward the floor releases tightness in your shoulders.
1. Get on your hands and knees with your knees directly under your hips, your palms flat on the floor directly under your shoulders, and your fingers facing forward. Distribute your weight evenly so your spine is relaxed and your head and neck are aligned with your spine.
2. Inhale deeply. As you exhale, tuck your tailbone under and drop your chin to your chest, relaxing your head, neck, and shoulders. Pull your navel toward your spine, arching your back like a cat. You’ll feel the stretch in your neck and spine.
3. Inhale and look forward while tilting your buttocks upward and lowering your belly toward the floor, making a slight U shape with your spine. Keep your shoulders and hands aligned and elongate your spine. You should feel the stretch in your belly and shoulders.
4. Exhale slowly and return to the starting position. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as needed, up to nine times.
